Cheyenne Mountain State Park

This State Park is right in Colorado Springs and just opened it's campgrounds in March. We are in Site #42 backed up on level cement with lots of room to spare. Cheyenne Mountain is our back yard. Awesome place. From the front we look down on the City of Colorado Springs and our pets are deer, squirrels and prairie dogs so far. Cost is $22.00 day plus $6.OO park fee.

Sounds like a great place. The photos of each campsite are great as are the description of the individual sites. This is now on our list of places to stay. Thanks for the info!

Most of the Colorado State Parks are great. Thanks for the heads up, we're intending to try cheyenne Mountain later this summer. If you have the time, pop over to the other side of Pike's Peak to Mueller State Park (south of Divide), one of our favorites.

Wish we could but we have to be in Denver tomorrow. We sure hate leaving this place. It has been super. Of course it is a week day and school is still in session. I'm sure this place will be packed in the summer. We will try more State Parks as we make our way to Wyoming. They sure do it right.

Less than 10 miles Paul and Jan. A real easy drive on Hwy 115. It is near the Zoo, and Seven Falls.
