Syrup

Well, this was a mess. Had a brand new bottle of pancake syrup fall out of a cabinet and burst and it went down the rear heat duct. Pulled the heat duct and got out all I could reach, just laughed and enjoyed my weeekend in Quartzsie,Az. At least when I drink coffee all I have to do to sweeten it, is stick in my finger.

I'm sure you've addressed this but since I have a mountaineer and am not sure if the ductwork is the same -- can you 'replace' the segment of duct fairly inexpensively -- on mine the ducts appear to be similar to dryer vent lines (except insulated somewhat). Would sure beat fighting off 'ants' and other sweet seeking critters.

I removed the vent louvers and washed the duct out with orange cleaner. The syrup did not travel as far as I thought. However when I fired up the furnace after it happened, all I could think of was pancakes.
