TMPS
Recently purchased a new 2015 3100rl and replacing the tires with S637's. While I'm at it, I would like to install a TPSM. I would appreciate feedback and recommendations about internal vs external sensors, related valve stems, and specific TPSM products.
---Thx

Metal stems and TST 507 for us. We've had other brands, but this is the setup for us.

We started off with Tire Minder from Costco but found out that they were junk. Every time that we would stop, it would beep telling us that a tire was low. I would check and the air pressure was fine. It would do this every time we stopped but would show a different tire was low. Good thing for Costco's return policy. We now have had the TST 507 system for 3 years and it is still working great.

X3. We are on the second unit - upgraded from the original to the 507. TST is very responsive.

We have had both the pressure pro and now have the TST. They both do the job and IMO either brand would be a good buy.

We have the TireTraker TT400 system (also sold as the TireMinder), I have a friend that has the TST507. We both have the external non-flow-thru sensors. Overall the TST is a more consistent / reliable system. If I were buying again, I would go with the TST. I would also recommend you get a repeater as well.
We chose the non-flow-thru sensors because they weigh less and as a result put less stress on the valve stems. To add air, you just take them off like you would a regular valve stem cap; not a big deal.
FYI, the TireTracker and the Tire Minder are both the exact same system, just imported by different people.
As far as stems go, be sure to get the metal bolt-on high pressure stems when you go with 110 psi tires. The friend above did not change his rubber stems and had two stem failures in as many months, fortunately his TST monitor notified him of the leaks before any damage was done. He has since replace all the rubber stems with metal high pressure stems.

"OLD" Pressure Pro here, just bought all new sensors last spring(10) at $35.00 a piece from PP. This system has never caused one ounce of trouble after 8 years.

I too have a Pressure Pro system. purchased in 2007 and never one problem. I thought about replacing with the TST system when I replace my sensors, but I will not. I figure 9 years on the original sensors not having worry about batteries, that I will keep my PP and purchase new sensors this spring.

It was actually less expensive to purchase the new TST with 6 sensors than to purchase 6 sensors and upgrade my monitor on my 8 year old Pressure pro. IMO they are both good systems. The TST batteries will last just as long.

Pressure Pro for 9 years. Got a new in cab display after mine was stolen a few years ago--I looked for it in the neighborhood but I am guessing the crooks just tossed it somewhere else. I doubt that they had an RV! The sensors were in the stick house. NOW--don't leave anything in the truck.

My flow-thru system worked perfectly for 3 years of full timing. This year I even put two of my extra sensors on my motorcycle trailer, re-programed it and the system worked great for traveling to Florida. In neither TV or trailer application I have never needed a repeater, but I know some have said they do.

TST for me. Non-flow through. The few times a year I need to add air, it takes all of 15 seconds to remove the sensor before doing so.
