Do you leave your TST TPMS sensors on all the time

I was debating whether to leave the TST sensors on when in storage and just install them as a part of my getting read for a road trip. The Allen wrench screw doesn't look like much security. The documentation says the battery should last a year in full use, so not sure I'd save on batteries either.

On average the 510 sensor batteries last between 5 and 7 years and the 507 batteries are intended to be changed approximately every 10-12 months. The sensors stop transmitting after being disconnected from the tires. If you park your commercial vehicle for extended periods of time or if you store an RV for the winter, you can remove the sensors and extend battery life. The included battery life estimate is based upon full time use.

The Allen wrench screw keeps honest people honest. With my install I also have to pull the tires off to access the Allen wrench head from the back of the tire so it is an additional issue a thief has to work around.

When on a trip we leave them on. I do remove them when stored. We have the 507 and have not had to replace them in over two years.

When storing for the winter, I remove mine to save battery life.

When I put the G614's and the TST on it was in the 80 - 90 degree range for temperature. I have the extra booster and can see what my tires are doing from inside the house about 70 ft from the Monty.

It is interesting to see the drop/rise in air pressure as the temperature has changed over the past several months. At 22 degrees all of the tires had dropped below 100 psi which was my low pressure setting so I added 5 lbs to each tire to quiet the alarms. As the temp rises so does the air pressure. I will set the tires at 110 lbs at whatever the temp is on the day we depart for warmer climes.

Great system and saves me getting the gauge out to check them all the time. I plug the monitor in the truck every so often to charge the battery in the monitor.

We full time so I leave them on, but if I was a part timer I would remove them when parked for a long time.
