Virginia Camping
We have been making several trips to see kids and grandkid in and around the Richmond and Williamsburg Va area. Just returned where we stayed for three nights at the American Heritage RV park just off I-64 between these two areas. it is a very nice, quite, and excellently run park. The sites are not jammed together and are easy to get in and out of. You have to be sure to get a map because it is off the interstate. Give it a try...very nice location.

We have stayed at American Heritage many times. It is our favorite place to camp near Williamsburg. The people that work there are friendly and helpful. It is also very well kept & quiet.

I also would like to report that both of my stays at American Heritage have be really good! It's a nice park and I wold not hesitate staying there again.
I think that families with grade school or pre-teen kids might want to stay elsewhere as there arent't any planned activities or recreational opportunities for them there. (That I can remember.)

The camp is definitely for the older folks, but a really great place for my grandkids. They really like the open areas and the fact that the entire camp was not cramped. I guess it depends upon the group.
