Hide-A-Way Lakes, Yorkville, IL

Another one we won't be going back to. There were a couple very narrow drives we had to use; one going in, another coming out. We did have full hookups in a spacious site. BUT many seasonal/permanent folks appeared to not be keeping the area up. There was also an area of junk we had to drive through each time we left the park. Carol simply described it as "trashy". It's the closest CG to our kids and grandkids in Bolingbrook, but once is enough. We'll be trying somewhere else next time.

GordonR -
Have you tried Windy Hills in Tinley Park? It's open and always busy. Looks like they keep it up. We just live a few miles from there. It would be a little farther, but there won't be any problem getting in and out and looks like most of the sites are pull throughs. Haven't ever stayed there but its near the trap club I belong to.

we had the same impression of Hide-a-way Lakes when we drove through it in August looking for a place to stay during our visit to see my dad in September. I've never seen so many unkept trailers on permanent sites.
