I am with you BigSkyJimmy, I use my gas pressure washer all the time to clean the roof of the RV, I have done so on each one that I have owned and had no problem. Although mine is capable of 2500 lbs I reduce the pressure, use a certain nozzle for applying mild soap and scrub only on the stubborn spots.

As the exodus of RVs are about to leave any RV park I have been staying in, there are fellows coming in and cleaning and waxing many many units, they all use a pressure washer on the roof and on the sides as well, it is not "high" pressure and I have not heard of any problems. I have also taken my unit through commercial truck washes all of which used pressure washing wands and the only problem I have had was a clearance light cover came off and they put it back in place.

I also use the pressure washer to do my slide covers and awning again with no problems.

What if you used an automotive soap that contains wax.. such as Kit or Turtle Wax? Car paint friendly.. good cleaner and contains was that "might" get dissolved when rinsing the roof. Dunno.. but a thought.

Two nights in a row we tried out the new storm shelter. First night 80mph winds and 3.01" of rain in a little over an hour. Second night 70mph winds and 1.5" in 30 minutes. My guess is that our roof took more from those storms than it would from a small pressure washer.
