Very nice job. How long did it take you? Any problems with the slides? Will you do ours? Was it difficult to get the linoleum up?

I hope my DW dosen't see this post. I laid over 800 sq ft of 3 1/2 in boards in our S&B last year but the Montana would probably require more cuts than the S&B job. Really looks nice, Maybe a second career in store for you!

Really looks nice!
I’m curious though, how were you able to put that down without the slides being a problem?

It doesn't look much thicker than the vinyl, let alone the vinyl with carpet put on top of it, so why would the slides be a problem?

Well, for one thing, these types of floors are supposed to "float," so while floating, I would imagine it is possible for the flooring to warp, causing it to rise and become jammed in the slide mechanism....

Our old SOB had hardwood floors with the slide. The only problem we had was when a corel dish or dishes came out of the cupboard and exploded. Some made its way under the edge of the slide so when I put out the slide to clean up the mess it did some "plowing" of the nice wood floor. It wasn't too bad fortunately.

well thank you all for all your nice feed back. as for the slides the floor is much thiner then carpet and pad so the slide goes in and out with no problem the only thing i do suggest is that you do not take the carpet off the slides. this will help keep the thing out off the siled trap under the siled. as for the weight i took this in to account i weight the carpet, pad, vinyl, and the thousand of nail and staples keystone use to put the carpet down. the only thing that i could not weight was all the dirt i got from under the carpet so what was the number drum role the different is the new Floor weight about 50lbs more. but i think i had that much in sand, dirt. as for the vinyl floor the funny thing is that it is not glue down you just have to cut it out around island in the kitchen. this whole mod took us about 2 days the first day we took out the old floor and had to let the new floor set in the room to get acclimated to its new environment but it had been in my garage for few month so the next day we put floor in as for skill level i give this 3 out of 5

I am looking at the pictures and see several mods, however, see no floor. What am I doing wrong or what am I missing?
Found it

How did the pergo fit on the Kitchen slide not to thick with the slide coming straight in and not lifting up. I have been told that it won't work in the kitchen
