Greasing Springs-Not
Hope someone can help with this problem. In attempting to grease the springs on the Mor-Ryde suspension I am finding some of the fittings will not take grease. Anyone have a solution? I have tried new zerts, heat, zert cleaning tool, and general cussing. Help!

Take a bolt out and make sure it is drilled completely through. One of mine wasn't. There was no center bore hole behind the Zerk. No way it was ever going to take grease.

Mine won't take grease either. I bought a new grease gun, installed new zerk fittings, finally gave up and will have it done next year when the bearings are cleaned and lubed professionally.

After you have checked to see there are no blockages and the holes are drilled all the way, check your grease gun too! I had an older hand pump model that couldn't seem to get grease in the spindles on my mower so I bought a new one, an air greaser, boy what a difference! The fitting on the end of the old one wouldn't grasp the zerk but instead of replacing the fitting I bought the pneumatic model! EASIER NOW!!!!

Sometimes, grease will harden and either a high pressure grease gun or heat gun to soften up is final solution, once the zerk fitting is clear.

Also, sometimes you just need to take some of the weight off the springs.

If the wet bots were installed with the grease holes vertical you need to take the weight off the suspension to let the grease through. As mentioned above sometimes the grease holes are not drilled all the way through. When I installed my wet bolts there was one that had to drilled. It's a good practice to grease them before installing to make sure the grease gets all the way through.

If you are going to take the bolt out be careful-- very careful! You really have to take the pressure off that bolt before trying to take it out!

Thought I would update all concerned. Thanks for all who gave suggestions. On the ODS I got 4 of 6 to take grease. On the DS I gave up after 3 failed to take grease. I haven't tried taking weight off springs. I talked to a local repair shop. He said he has an electric grease gun I can borrow. Will try that after we get back from our two week journey. I'll let you know how it works our.
