Wonder how many ham radio folks we have on MOC now? I know there is a bunch just by looking at the user names and signatures. I don't have an HF rig right now (hint, hint, Santa) but I was thinking maybe someone might start a weekly net schedule on 40/75 meters. Might be interesting to talk to other ham members to see whats going on. Just an idle thought.

Bill there is a net that meets Mon. thru Fri. on 7263 and 7268.5. They start on the 63 freq about 6am PST and move up to 68.5 around 8:30am. On the weekends the Baja Net uses those freqs. I think there are some other freqs that concentrate on RVers too but don't remember them. It would be interesting to see if there was enough interest from the MOC Hams.

Has anyone checked out Echolink as a possible alternative to those you do not have HF capability? We still don't have an HF antenna up here at the site in Salt Spring,fl nor do I have an hf antenna on the
truck. I do have a Icom 706 mk2 g . We are in the process of selling the house and will be setting up HF things in the near future.
A schedule/net sounds like a good idea.
