water tank
We found we have a tank full of water when we got home from the rally. We have the selector switch set for city water not tank fill. I`ll try the switch in the other position after we get the rig to our seasonal site today. Has anyone else run into this? Don`t want to blow out the tank or lines. We`ve never used the water pump and onboard tank as we`ve always been hooked up to city water.

If the switch is reversed, then your tank would fill to overflowing and run out the overflow inside that cover that's probably on a rear corner or somewhere near the tank. I know of one member here who had a tank split when the pressure got too high after the tank was overfull. So I have doubts that's the problem. If the valves are reversed you'd have no water flow inside the rig unless you turn on the pump.
I suspect perhaps the valve is not fully shutting off the flow into the tank when in the city water position. In that case, the valve is defective or perhaps has some kind of foreign object keeping it from fully closing.
I assume you know how to drain the fresh water tank but, just in case, there is a line hanging down near the tank. That line has a cap on it. Remove the cap and let the tank drain.
Please let us know what you find out is causing this. It might help others of us here in the future. Thanks.

We had a pump one time that had a bad check valve in it and when we were hooked up to city water, the check valve allowed water to flow backward through the pump into the fresh water tank, causing it to overflow. Replaced the head on the pump and everything was okay.

Owner error!!! We did put water in the tank when the campgroud had to shut off the water for a line repair. Forgot we had done it. So we don`t have a problem.

Drew and Judi,
You are soooo funny.
I need to change my signature as we are no longer in Spring, TX. We are back home in Vancouver, WA now.
