Our 2008 Chevy 3500HD DRW's 4x4 towing weight was 2,500n lbs and our Chevy ready to go RVing the weight was 8,500 so if the Big Sky has a weight of 16,000 lbs or more it would be over the carring capacity of our 3500HD for 2008. The weight of our Truck and 2009 model 5th wheel was 24,400 lbs and we travel light. Our weight now is over 31,000 lbs when hooked up and ready to go RVing. That doesn't count the Chevy HHR when double towing. Weight will slip up on you fast. According to the folks that weight Trucks and 5th wheels at Rallys say that about 55% to 60% of RVer's are over weight, either pin weight or GVCR? I know for a fact we were over in Gross towing rating when towing our 5th wheels. GBY....

"our Chevy ready to go RVing the weight was 8,500." And therein is the big difference between a GM and the Ford. Our 08 F-350 Ford ready for towing, as of 9/30/2009 was 9250 LBs.. 750 lbs difference. Something to be considered when purchasing a TV.. The Ford is a big heavy truck...

Fords are indeed very heavy. I've seen 3/4 tons on the lot with the 10k GVWR option, and less than 2k carrying capacity (off the sticker). The unsuspecting are fooled when they see that 10k GVWR.
