Wind in Kansas

If your traveling east or west in Kansas today be very carefull. Winds are forecast at 30mph with gusts to 40mph and they are definately underestimating them!!

Here in Northwest Oklahoma we have had 45 mph wind gust with it blowing at 30 mph all the time. Not only that but it keeps blowing my Kitchen slide in at the top so I can see daylight through it, It is suppose to die down around 6:00 this evening and I will be soooo glad I cannot even get out the door as it is blowing right at us from the South....

Does the wind ever not blow in Kansas? Been there several times and it was blowing every time. My son lived there, and I asked him about it. He just replied, "what wind?" .

A friend in Laramie told me the days the wind blows in Wyoming. It starts on January first and ends on December 31.

I grew up in the Chicago area and knew that as the "Windy City". Then I moved to Kansas and found out what wind was all about.

My favorite TV entertainment growing up was watching them show the results of freezing drizzle and wind in the downtown on the evening news. The streets and sidewalks would be slick as glass, folks trying to walk with umbrellas and the wind coming off the lake and channeled thru the tall buildings blowing them for blocks. Not so funny now. Freezing drizzle here tomorrow morning.

Sure, be that way! Your cats are probably lying nude on the beach while ours have to are having to wear their coats.
