2022 Fall Rally GOLF CART Rental & Use

IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding the use of Golf Carts, Handicap Carts and Motorized Scooters at the Annual MOC North American Fall Rally.
An important responsibility of the Montana Owners Club is the Safety of all attendees, sponsors, vendors, Fairgrounds’ staff and the general public during the Annual Fall Rally .
The safe operation of golf carts, handicap carts and motorized scooters by everyone is important.
However, accidents can happen no matter how safe we all try to be. So, it is also important to ensure that all operators of these motorized devices verify they have adequate liability insurance coverage.
After doing some research we discovered that individual homeowner’s policies and/or personal vehicle insurance may provide the liability coverage you need. However, the rules for insurance companies varies from company to company and from State to State.
With that said, we are asking all who are planning to attend the Rally, and are also planning to operate a personal or rented golf cart, handicap cart, or motorized scooter, to verify with your insurance carrier that your liability coverage is adequate for the State of Indiana.
If you plan to use any of the listed types of equipment, whether owned OR rented, you will be required to acknowledge that you have adequate liability coverage. Acknowledgment will be required upon arrival at the rally. Please understand, these small extra steps will help to protect every one of us as Rally attendees.

And now, GOLF CART RENTALS...

So, here’s the deal. After considerable research and lots of ups and downs, a vendor has been located and an agreement reached. NATIONAL CARTS will return as our rental provider but at a cost. This year’s price is $550 per 4 passenger cart. Reservations must be made DIRECTLY with National Carts by calling 1-888-624-9548. There will be NO availability for walk up rentals at the rally.

This is our first rally. How far is the walk or bike ride to everything? Is a golf cart necessary?

My "guess" for the distance from the main building to the most distant RV site might be about a half mile or a little more but that all depends on where your site is located. It can be a good walk especially if the temps stay up as they have been lately in Goshen, so it is up to you and your ability to walk to the main building. There is no selection of sites by the attendees and the sites are assigned randomly throughout the fairgrounds. If you feel you cannot walk any distance, my advice would be to rent a golf cart to be safe.

Are there racks or something for locking up bikes? Also, are ebikes an issue (read something about Indiana law on ebikes)?

Edit: oerhaps this should be a separate rally thread?

Charles, I believe you can BUT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO FURNISH WRITTEN PROOF OF LIABILITY INSURANCE ON THE CART OR GATOR! I'm sure that one of the Asst. Wagon Masters or the Golf Cart Coordinator will be along and verify this statement also.

Hi, same question that was previously asked regarding use of ebikes (ours are class 1) in Indiana. And also, are there racks or something for locking up bikes?
Appreciate any input on this issue, thank you !

Personal golf carts are allowed at the Fall Rally but please refer to post #1 of this thread as to required liability insurance. E bikes are allowed, need not furnish proof of insurance and yes, bike racks are available for securing your bikes.

Thank you for your post.
Neither of my good Sam auto policies RV and truck or automobile stored in North Carolina over six months out of the year will cover rental cars.
I am now checking homeowners policy for my North Carolina storage area to see if they cover it.
Thank you so much for what you’re all doing for the 2022 national rally.

Share a golf cart rental?

Since they are 4 passenger carts, would anyone like to share a cart? We will be arriving on the 7th.

We tried to rent a golf cart today through national arts.com & were told they are not sponsoring this event this year.

There is a different thread on golf cart rentals below. They switched to a different provider.
