3791 updates

After spending last winter in our RV, we had a few changes to make before we head back to Alabama this winter. I'm new at posting so bear with me. We removed the original back splash and added some color to the kitchen. Then added a drawer by the stove(need to re-stain) and a shelf to the other side of the stove. We also found out that if something rubs on the inside glass on the cabinets, the paint comes off. After a color match, I added black art board to the inside to stop this problem(pantry also). Added shelfs to the pantry and carpet to stop sliding of things. Then the DW want to find a place other than the table for my Ham Radio. We found the coffee desk table that has storage and it can be easily moved out of the way. I attached photos to show our upgrades. Just trying to make it more personal. Dave

We got it at Menards. The old backsplash came off real easy with a putty knife, Not stuck on with much. I think it helped to add a little more color. Thanks for the comment

No, it was the old way style. Spread glue and then stick them on. Took about half day to get them up and the grouted the next day. Sure made some points with the DW,( and I always need them).

Question on the black art board...We are having the same problem, mostly with the pantry with paint rubbing off. I was going to put in chip board, but maybe the art board would be lighter weight. What is it and where did you get it?

We got it at Hobby Lobby and it is1/4" thick very light and just used a hot glue gun works great also was able to match the gray at Home Depot. Just purchased there sample size and touched it up on the back side before putting on the black board Dave

Can u share the model of drawer slide u used and where you got it? Did u just fasten them directly to the cabinet walls or does it just sit in the cabinet? If mounted how did you bypass the cabinet door hinges

I got the drawer slides at Home Depot. Then cut blocks of wood to space then out to the cabinet opening for clearance of the drawer. I used construction glue to fasten the spacers to the walls and then screwed the slides to them. Worked great and DW loves it😁
