MorRyde Step Above
One of the 2 piece ball studs on my strut assist steps broke today. I found one on etrailer.com for $41.91 plus shipping! If I bought the whole strut (without the 2 necessary ball studs it is less than $50. Anyone have any ideas about a better source for this 1 1/2” piece of metal????

Ordered one of the ball studs directly from MorRyde today. Less than $25. Plus shipping.
A shout out to Katie in the parts and service department for helping me and taking care of my needs in a professional manner.
I told her we might make an appointment to get the disc brake conversion when we are up north this year. She let me know that they are already booking 2023…..
Guess we will do it next year!

I had one break too. The stairs fell and struck me in the arm. Hurt for weeks. Lucky it wasn't my head.
We NEVER stand in front of them now when raising or lowering.
I called MorRyde. They sent me a new strut and ball.
I also found them at NAPA auto parts.

I got the ball stud via UPS yesterday. Got the invoice by email as well. $25 for the ball stud and $16 for shipping. I saved $1 plus shipping over what eTrailer was going to charge. I guess they are going to get my money one way or another….

I think MSC also has them.

I had mine break as well. It was still under warranty. Contacted More-ryde and they sent me two. No charge.

I replaced my steps with the Torklift steps from eTrailer. I love them! Very easy to install and you have the ability to extend the step 12"-60".
I was concerned about the problem you are having and the "adjustable legs" on the MorRyde. I will be selling my OEM steps.

Hit the Road:
I agree! I installed the Torklift steps also. They are 2 steps, 3, 4, or 5 steps above the MorRyde "Step Above"! Can't stand those fold-into-the-door steps! What were they thinking? Clunky, to say the least.

I know they were a bit pricey but I love the new steps! Very nice upgrade, seems much easier to use, and I love the way they can be adjusted! The main reason is because we have two short legged dogs and they had problems navigating the 8 1/2" step rise. It's much easier on them now. We didn't opt for the step rail as we have a large handle already on the RV. We did buy carpet for the steps. Great investment!

Hi All - so I am looking to remove the MorRyde Steps with one strut in order to put a permanent platform entry into the 5ver, can they be temporarily removed so when we decide to travel the steps can easily be reinstalled. It appears you can remove the strut arm and bolt and maybe slide out the opposite side from the hinge?? advance help appreciated.
Thanks
