Blue Pex Hanging Down

We have a Blue Pex Pipe hanging down in front of the spare tire?

After 14 years of RV'ing from Alaska to New Mexico, there has been only 3 drains underneath a fifth wheel, 2 at the low point and 1 for the fresh water tank. I need help with this blue one BEFORE crawling underneath in the gravel!!

Something has come loose, it is probably spray expanding foam around the blue pipe and that pipe has a white cap. But again, the blue pex pipe drain, what is it?

This is just embarrassing not knowing or able to find out what it is.

Can anyone chime in?

It's not. The fresh water tank has it's own drain and it is located in the rear near the side for easy access. This blue pipe is in the middle in front of the spare tire. I doubt the fresh water tank has 2 drains!

If you have a residential fridge it may be the drain from it.

Take the plug cap off and find out what comes out

Do you have a fridge with an ice maker?
Winterizing drain for residential fridge?

Do you know of a test to see if it is even hooked up and working? The reason I ask, we had the refrig which is a residential, replaced. Now it is becoming interesting.

Cap has to be next.

Yes and we live in it full so we have never winterized it.

On our 3791RD, the ice maker drain line is in front of the tires near center below the island. The fresh tank drain is in the rear behind the tires. This sounds like your ice maker drain line. Our fridge is in the ODS slide just in front of the island. One of the shut off valves is below the sink in the island, so that drain is for the line that runs from the island to the fridge.

Robert, that clears up what it is and I do not expect anything to come out when under there next time I'm on pavement!! Now I know and have added it to the winterization routine IF ever I shut it down for a winter. I'll get some foam and clean things up.

I thank all of you for the help.

It’s a fresh water tank drain. The foam is a weak attempt to seal up the underbelly cover. My foam did the exact same thing before I ripped it off and threw it sways.

When I get a chance, I plan to remove the screw cap on both of mine and put an elbow on and run PEX to the edge of the trailer. I'll put a valve on the end to open/close the drain. I'm going to clean up the spray foam and put pipe wrap on the PEX all the way up into the belly. I may end up using scrim tape on the slit where the PEX enters the coroplast. That should seal it up better and make it easier to drain when I need to without crawling underneath.

That’s right. Better yet take the plug off and hook up your fresh water hose set to tank fill. In a minute or two water will come out of the hose and the tank will not fill as long as the plug is off.

Blue is cold, red is hot, and clear or white is the fresh water tank drain. Fresh water tank drains always have a valve on them to drain. The OP's photo has a cap on the end. It's probably the low point drain for the original residential refrigerator ice maker.

Yeah I’m fine with that. For me (3120rl- 2018) in that exact location and the looks and description of the fitting and cap is exactly where my tank drain is.

The only white Pex in mine goes to the black tank flush. On my drain line is blue pex
