Dometic Customer Service
Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place. I am relatively new to RV ownership. We had a truck camper when the kids were young (35+ years ago). We bought a 2006 3295RK and use it as a vacation/weekend place.
Has anyone had any experience with Dometic Customer Service not being receptive? I changed out the remote thermostat (posted on MOC) a couple of weeks ago. It is not working as it's supposed to. After getting no help after being on hold for an hour and 15 minutes, I sent an email to technical as per their website on June 18. No response after 7days. Sent a follow up on June 25. Still no response.
Is this common for Dometic or did I waste $230 to swap out the parts, that per Dometic email to the previous owner, only to be in the same boat?

Have had the issue of long wait time, but I have always had a good response from them once I got them. If it's not a Dometic thermostat, however, their response might not be so good.

Thanks for the reply. I am hoping that they do respond but my gosh, 2 weeks is ridiculous, IMHO. The previous owner, neighbors at our RV park, had replaced the rooftop A/C in 2019 and in 2019 contacted Dometic about the remote thermostat issue. Their email back to him which he forwarded to me, shows what parts needed. He then went on Amazon and purchased the Dometic control unit and 5 button Dometic CCC unit. He got those in April 2020 but then decided to wait. In January 2021 we bought the RV from he and his wife and after a discussion about the aggravating remote temperature control system, he said he bought the parts. So I installed all Dometic parts, albeit purchased 3rd party, and I am having a problem with it not recognizing the furnace. Thankfully the A/C side seems to be working (we leave the A/C set at 80 when not there) and we'll find out for sure in the next day or so when we go there. But even though this is Florida, we do need heat during winter months. Thanks for letting me vent. I am hoping that they do contact me with a solution. Maybe the parts are defective?

We also have had good luck with Dometic and really good luck with Lippert.

We just installed a new Dometic AC unit and it didn't recognise the furnace. The mobile repair guy said it was a dip switch, probably on the control board I didn't ask, and after about 15 minutes on the roof all was well.
