GOT SCREWED by Lippert Components

Bought a Set of 7k Trailer Brakes for my Montana High country.

And as everyone knows; you must install on your axel a matched set for even stopping power otherwise the trailer might sway.

So when Lippert components send me brakes one from "Axel Technology" and one from Lippert ; I sent them back as a NON-MATCHED set.

Even the shoe thickness was different. Maybe Axle makes Lippert's also but these two ( AS PER MY PHOTOS ) were clearly different.

So it cost me $118.01 for brakes and seals
and they only gave me a credit for $89.14
I'm loosing $28.96 in the return

and it cost me $20 to ship back
So for a mistake Lippert made i loose $ 48.96

Monday i will call Lippert and if they don't rectify ; i'll call the credit card company

P.S. I bought a set of Dexter brakes and

1..shoes are thicker
2..Adjusters are metal and not plastic Like Lippert

Try this is should work. For under $50 they won’t dispute it. It’s not worth their time.

I really want Lippert to pay, not the credit card company

The only way to stop Lippert from doing this to other people is to BOYCOTT

I’m sorry but people aren’t going to boycott Lippert. Getting your money back is about all will get from Lippert. Putting a bad word about them is what they don’t wont.
Lippert will be paying. The CC company will just deduct your money from what they pay Lippert and credit your card.

Maybe so ....but people on this website should know how the little guys are being treated... it took them over 2 weeks just to issue me part credit.

I started a dispute with the credit card company....I wish Lippert would read this

ForBruce, I had to order a new one for my 3791 as the magnet had gotten torn off. eTrailer had the best price and quick shipping. I need the right hand one, but they have both and they are Dexter. Free shipping too.

Mostly just subscribing to find out how you make out. I am just starting a dispute with their replacement window division,. Since the card charge has been paid, may need the NY small claims court route if I can't get my bank to reverse that $825 payment.

That $48 is their way of recouping the shipping cost. Restock fee if you will. Although that shouldn't apply for mismatched parts. Hope you get it figured out.

It seems to me there has to be more to the story. Did Lippert know they sent wrong parts? Did you get an RMA so there wouldn't be a problem? Did you speak with them before sending the parts? What did they say at that time? It doesn't sound reasonable that a company would charge for shipping for a mistake on their part. Not blaming you, just wondering about details not mentioned.

An RMA (case # ) was provided . And they were told of the mismatched parts.

trouble is the left hand dept. doesn't tell the right hand dept.

it's not over. Even though i started a credit card dispute. Lippert will hear from me on monday.

That's what LCI are trying to impose on me with their first shot. Not acceptable nor are the return shipping charges for their $850 errors.
