Fell in love today
with the 3500RL. We stopped by our dealer today (big mistake) to look at the new Montana's. Liked the new front cap with 30% more turning radius. Also liked the 3400RL, no wonder everyone raves about it! Both are very nice units - not changing immediately but pondering it...........LOL Oh yes, they have new decals brown on mountains and lettering not blue-green anymore.
Safe travels.

Hi Jack & Lorraine,
Stopping and looking at new Montanas may not be the best thing to do. We sopped and looked last November and like the little Puppy at the pet store.......... just had to bring one home. The only problem was that our other 5Ver was only 14 months old. Oh well, you only go around once.

We visited our local Montana Dealer yesterday and had a fun time walking through the coaches. I had hoped to show my wife the 3500 and 3400, but alas not one on the lot. She did like the 3650RK. We're not in the market as we are happy with the Mountaineer TT. Later in the day, we went to see RV at the theater. I don't know when I have laughed so much!!

I've told my friends before that RV shows are like car shows, don't go unless you're ready to buy. It's hard leaving that new love on the lot like that.

March 29th, 2006, I had to go to the rv dealer and get some new bulbs etc, before we left on another junket. I made a huge mistake that day!!! I actually asked my wife to go with me. Good lord ! That trip cost me 40,000 plus. While I was getting the stuff in the parts dept, this idiot salesman conned my wife into looking at the new 3500rl.
Two, Two, Two, days later we took one home. I think all salespeople should get a license and a permit that has to be approved by BOTH parties to examine their bait to catch us UNSPECTING fools that take our wives to a dealership that sells new fivers.
There is a help group for people like me, but I found out about it too late. If you need a help group, call 1-800-I-can_help , its the local chapter of Visa, MasterCard and other financial institutions. Or simply LEAVE THE WIFE AT HOME!!!!

I know the "love feeling" when it comes to the Monty. Last year we were bitten by a 2955RL. It is now on our pad celebrating our 1st anniversary today. I have sure learned many things from this forum that will help to keep her running great till we retire in 36 months.
Happy Camping!

Yep you sure do fall for the Montana's...that is how we felt when we first seen the one we purchased. Now even when problems lurk ...what can we say we still go for the Montana! Do you think it is a sickness? lol

We only went for the free cooler they were giving away - fortunate or not we kept our senses even though I have gone over that 3500RL a million times in my mind! LOL The biggest point was the living room actually feeling like a whole different room and the doors so I wouldn't have to hear hubby watching TV! Haven't taken the plunge with trading despite the dealer wanting to give us a good trade in price - think we will make the decision once we get back here in October. For those that have the 3500 do you find you have plenty of storage in the kitchen??
Safe travels.

Plenty of storage in the kitchen. I have yet to hear anyone mention the storage in the chairs so I wont either.

Have any of you seen the new one with the entertainment center at the end of the Monty. I think the number is the 3600.
We saw this in Florida, almost made me change my mind from the 3400.....almost

Is that the one with the couch or chair (was crowded inside)butts up against the counter? Don't know which model # it was but I really liked the idea of the TV at the end. The color scheme of the one we went in was really pretty.

Fulltimefollies, thank you for the info on storage in the kitchen. We don't have storage in our chairs so didn't even think of that.
Our dealer didn't have a 3600 but I did pick up the new brochure so will have to take a look to see if it is in there.
Safe travels.

I still wish Keystone would have a contest and let us enter our drawings for the "perfect" floorplan.

I just wish they would let us order the type of shower we want in the Monty. The only thing I don't like about the 3400 is the white shower made to look like tile. I would rather have the one piece shower like our New Vision has in it. Oh well I am sure we will adapt really quickly to the new shower once we get our 3400 in about a week.

Driftwoodgal, That is one of the things I gave up for the Montana. I sure would love to see one in a Montana. Seems like all the others have gone to the one piece shower!

I wonder if they went back to the one piece showers if it would fix their leak problems in the shower area.

After having leaks not only on the floor but into the basement our shower was totally replaced the first year. I do believe that a one piece shower units would take care of most if not all of the leaks. That is one thing I did notice in the units that we looked at this past weekend compared to other manufacturers.
Safe travels.
