Too bad after ALL that frustration you also had to absorb a financial hit as well. But.... the stress is gone as you say and it's time to live on, Good Luck from here!!

Going through similar problem with my 2012 Duramax. GM keeps saying bad fuel def. However neither has been tested by them! I do not trust the truck! Now researching gasser like Ford 6.2 or Hemingway 6.4.
I know your pain. I thought real hard about a Ford V10 C/C, the towing numbers were close and the payload worked. It would be a change in towing experience for sure. In the end it would limit my future choice in 5er, I'd miss the diesel power too much and I didn't want to give Ford another dime,

We have resolution! Truck is now gone and replace with a 2016 Ram 3500. Too bad 'cause I loved that truck, not to mention the financial hit. Last word from Ford was "We want to put another recorder on it, if we don't find anything new we want to tear down the engine and look for fuel contamination".. Done with Ford, done with the stress. Back to my life..
Does your state have a lemon law? I've not ever had the issues, but the truck I just bought in Missouri came covered by the LL. Hope the Ram serves you well.

It does, I considered going that route but being fulltime and depending on my vehicle the way I do it made more sense to throw in the towel. At the rate I was going I'd break down 4 more times before the case was settled. I could go on a rant about how those 4 months could play out and the impact of this vehicle on my life but I'll take the high road and say I'm happy it's over.

My 12 duramax is in the dealers shop for the third time in two weeks for emission problems that they say they do not know how to fix. I am thinking Ram but how do you trade a truck in constant limp mode?

Sorry to hear you had to trade to get rid of the problem. Bad on Ford!
Glad to see you switched to a Ram 3500. May you have MANY trouble free miles with it.
I'm happy with mine so far.

The way you trade truck in limp mode. Fined the one you want catch yours on a good day. Take it in for trade in don't tell everything you know and trade it off. All fair in truck trading! Tom

What year was your Ford Super Duty? I just purchased a 2015 Ford F350 Platinum and so far running great and we are heading for Arizona Feb 1st. Good luck with the Ram.
