Thinking about 3rd A/C, but is my rig pre-wired?

I'm thinking about installing 3rd A/C but not sure if my rig is pre-wired. How can I find out?

I am positive a 2012 is NOT pre-wired for a third A/C. Mine isn't. I assume you are thinking of putting it where the 12V fan lives. Take off the shroud and you will see there is nothing there for an A/C

Looking at where the fan is in the kitchen.

Those that are prewired for a 3rd AC will have a white juction box in the ceiling right next to the fan and a little label on it telling you the wiring is there.

If your rig is pre-wired for a 3rd AC you will have an electrical cover plate in the ceiling next to the ceiling fan

As I understand, with a 3rd AC, you can still only run 2 at a time, i.e. 2 in lower area or br and 1 in lr, unless you run a sep elec line. So f I can only run 2, why have the 3rd?

You can run three A/Cs on 50 amp service as long as you spread them over the two buses (i.e. 2 on one and 1 on the other)

If you are in a situation where 2 AC units can not cool your rig, you are not doing something right. Use a portable cooler, or some other device (fans) I know campground have iffy electric. 3 AC units will overload their ckts. Swamp coolers work when there is low Humidity, and AC's work when it is high. If you are in Texas, Arizona and other dry states you need to think differently. Good luck

I rigged a LG portable (on wheels) unit to the small slide up window (exhaust tube from unit to the window) in the mid dinning table slide out section. 600 bucks but can remove it during the winter time and it has WiFi so I can turn it on when flying back to Dallas and cool the rig down from 98 to about 74 without the two main units turned on. I live in it 10 days a month year round. Upon getting in the rig I use two box fans to blast the cold air in the mid kitchen area up into the FL space and into the back bedroom....helps cycle the cold air around and in about 1.5 to 2hrs the entire rig is down to 70 or so when its 100 outside. Never need the fans the rest of the time Im there.

Last week it was 100+ and humid - rig was at 65-67 degrees with the LG set at 65 and the other two thermostats set at 70.... got down to 64 a few mornings in the back king bedroom according to my stick up Temp Gauges. Really allows the main units to cycle and take a break vs. running 24/7. No clue what time early morning they stop running given the 70 degree setting but they kick back on around 9am or so and have no problem maintaining 69-70 all day long.

LG is designed for a 700sqft "room" and has great reviews. 14kBTUs and dual inverter/compressors work so well that it truly does not collect water that needs to be dumped/drained. Used it two summers now and never a drop in the reservoir.

Hope it helps.
