Slide Out Hydraulic Cylinder Leaking

Noticed a significant amount of oil on the ground below the living room slide after retracting the slides. I have loosened enough of the coroplast retainers to see the source of the oil. I am interested if others have repaired this and how it was done. I have looked at the Lippert site information and I have the part number.

Did the coroplast have to be cut to access the rear retaining bolt?

Did you replace or rebuild the cylinder?

Thanks in advance

Do your best to not cut the coroplast if you can. I’m pretty sure most any hydraulic shop should be able to rebuild that cylinder, most likely just needs a couple of new seals.

Thank you for your comments.

The mounting bolt for the hydraulic cylinder is centered directly over the two axles in the center of the coroplast. The rigid gas line, black and grey water drains, and spare tire carrier all make it seem impossible to get much play in the coroplast to squeeze in with tools to remove the rear oil lines and the large rear mounting nut. I am hoping someone has a trick that may help.

Are you sure the line/fitting is not the source instead of the actual cylinder?

Thanks for your comment.

I double checked the line/fittings are dry. When the slide is retracted, you can see fluid seep around the drive shaft seal.
