2020 Montana 3931FB fulltime
Hi everyone, My Husband and I are first time Montana owners and we love our luxury home on wheels ....it’s nice not to have to do yard work anymore! Just 5th wheel upkeep and maintenance! We are 41’4”
Does anyone have issues with hitting their head on the sharp corners in the middle of the bedroom slide above the bed? We need to figure out a way to cover those 2 corners ..looking for some foam that doesn’t look ridiculous..we are extremely picky and neat freaks ..

Welcome to the MOC. We have learned thru habit to duck without thinking. Wish that worked for me outside. Congrats on the new rig.

I'm kind of having difficulty following your line of thought, so I looked up your camper and saw the bedroom photos. I'm assuming you are talking about the inside of the camper and you are talking about that decorative square thing in the middle of the slide in front? right?
If so, I'm having a hard time figuring out how you'd be bumping your head on that thing unless you are actually standing in the bed? I don't have the decorative design on mine, but the top of the slide is a good 4.5 feet above the bed. Even if kneeling on the bed (which we do to put fitted sheets on), we still don't come close to hitting our heads on anything.
Unless you are referring to something different.
However, anything is possible. So, if this IS the case, then a very simple solution would be to attach a self-sticking Command Hook under, or behind the square thing and hang a very small, miniature wind chime from the hook. Your head will bump the wind chime before reaching contact with something solid, giving you a warning before you end up with a bump on your noggin! When traveling, take it down.
It's just a suggestion, and wind chimes are pretty. We have several small ones as souvenirs from different places we've been.

Hang a small wind chime from each corner of that square thing, a "his" and a "hers". Have fun with it. You can hang different things there when different "moods" (hee, hee).... hit you!

Try some foam pipe insulation and cut to size. They look like pool noodles. Ant hardware store has them. I use them on the outside corners of the slide outs and work well. Saved my noggin several times! Lol. Maybe that will work if you want something up there.

Welcome to the forum! Whatever you decide on, don't make it permanent. You will get used to it and not need it before too long.

We have sharp corners all over the camper and I run into them often. My best idea so far is to round off the 90 degree edges. Simple woodworking project.

Congratulations. We love our Montana and went full time at the end of December. We are same, do not miss the yard work or the house cleaning of a large home.

Head knockers in 3921FB
We have a 2018 3921FB which is similar to your unit. I don't remember ever bumping the trim overhead - but for what it's worth I went out and measured the clearance in our unit (33") - and we replaced the OEM mattress with a foam mattress and a topper. The top of our bedspread is even with the top of the bedside shelf, which in the screen shot below from the Montana website you can see that the OEM mattress is below the shelf top.
I will warn you to watch out for the cabinet door over the in-command controls (left side of the screen shot). Many folks here have made the mistake of accidentally leaving it open during set-up or take-down and hit their head on the door and it hurts. I hit my head on it two or three times, but when DW hit her head I have been batting 1000 for closing the door ever since!
