First Montana

We paid off our Wildcat after 12 years and went straight to the local dealer here in Arkansas , traded it in and bought a new Montana High Country 305RL . Picked it up today and are getting it set up for our first trip .

Congratulations! We are almost in the same boat, going from a Wildcat to a Montana! Hope to hear about your shakedown camping trip with your new Montana HC. Would be curious to know about any issues to watch out for. We won't get our new Montana until the 19th.

Purchased 2018 Montana 305rl

Purchased 2018 Montana 305rl in May 2018. Took it out for a week long trip and had quite a few problems. Drove 2 hours down the road, pulled over for bathroom break, went into coach to use bathroom and found slide-out trim laying all over the floor and on top of the island. Grabbed the trim and through it in the pass through area and continued on. Next stop campground. Hooked up and could not get cable to work from coach. Ran cable directly to tv and got cable channels. Problem in coach somewhere. Went to next campground, opened door to trailer and the other slide-out lost all of it's trim and was laying everywhere. Called dealer, dropped off to fix. Seems everything is stapled together. Not to sure about Montana quality? I have owned this trailer 1 month, used it one week, waiting for dealer to fix. Not sure what to think of Montana quality

Welcome and enjoy your trip, we just purchased a 3121RL this year and have pulled it over 6500 miles in the last four months. All units will have minor issues of some kind or another, Ive owned several different brands and all have had some type of issue, lots of great information on here. Start local, learn all the in's and outs of your unit, enjoy the forum.

Our slide out trim pulled off just after our walkthrough when we were loading our stuff from our old trailer into the new one, before we had even driven the new trailer off the dealers lot. Turned out that the pantry door was not shut all the way and when we opened the slide, did not notice the door catching the trim and ripping it off. The dealer sent a crew to fix it on the spot and they took an hour to do the work which I was actually impressed with how they took their time and carefully put it all back together with glue and nails. As good or better than new. Lesson learned to triple check for clearance before operating the slides. Not saying this is what happened in you case, but this was my issue.

Hopefully you bought yours from Folsom Lake RV and they are taking care of you.
