I always like to visit friends with a front living they are pretty cool(like the 3850 Montana) but being a Fulltimer would not want one because of lack of storage in the basement and I don't want my living room overlooking a parking lot/road and cars driving by my window all the time ,I just prefer a RL to have a big back window looking out to a river,Ocean, and Awesome Sunsets etc.. but Hey it is a personal choice and a bunch of folks love them ,other members on the Forum have them and love them, Montana forum veteran bncinwv(BINGO) has a really nice 3850FLand they can give you their reason for loving them

They have an issue with the kitchen slide. The area closest to the frig is heavy and will eat into the flooring causing it to ware. Simple solution is to take a piece of carpet, turn it upside down and put under that corner and problem solved. It sounds a little redneck but it does the trick.

Our first Montana was a front living room and we enjoyed the floor plan.

We have one and love it. I especially like the second door on the opposite side of the coach and the fact that the living room isn't as open to the kitchen as many units with front living rooms are. It's a personal thing and I would imagine we may be in the minority on that point. But we travel with our two teens and it's nice to have living spaces that are a little more defined.

We have not had any issues with our slides.

I spoke with someone at Keystone recently and he indicated that they are currently in the process of redesigning the FL floorplan, combining the best features of their two current FL models. Said the new plan should be up on their site this winter.

It really is a personal choice. You have to pick the rig that fits you and your lifestyle.

We all want to get the best price, the price range throughout the country is 50K to 78K. This concerned me that there might be problems. Does anyone have reasons why such a large difference in price throughout the country. They all have the same packages. Being fulltime I can go to the best price, but interested in hearing if anyone has background on these price differences.

Great question David and Liz I have noticed that too ,but I have noticed they are cheaper the more East you get and closer to Indiana (shipping charges??)and make sure they are equipped the same, there always seems to be some difference between them A.K.A. slide toppers/leather/ level-up etc..... also some you see are sold by RV wholesales like RV direct etc... as opposed to Dealers with all their overhead

Check with Larry, "Hook", and see what he can do for you. He's sold several to members of the forum already this year.
