Wreck on Evero

A week ago this wreck happened on Evero Hill North of Missoula.
A pickup pulling a 5th wheel and a boat lost control going down hill and rolled. All 3 rigs were fairly new .The pickup was a 1/2 ton

Very hard to explain to folks that just because you can pull it, doesn't mean you should.

We might be assuming this could be a weight compliance issue, but I agree with you DQDick. I've heard approximately 40% to 45% of recreational rigs are overweight. Plus, in most states you need either a special license or an endorsement. You can learn about these things the easy way or the hard way. Under normal conditions mishaps can occur, why push it?

I'm glad there were no injuries and hope they learn what happened here. Then, I hope they can get "back on that horse" and be a little wiser (and safer) about it.

And by the way, did you see the links to other traffic stories? Like the speeder that ran in to a parked vehicle and died. I don't think the driver or passenger were wearing seatbelts. Then another person who was killed while changing a tire? So speeding kills and I wonder if the tire changer person had flares or triangles out to help be more visible, or how the other person may have not even seen this poor victim. It's a tough world out there.
