This shouldn't be a "long" thread
Could someone please advise me on CG descriptions where they list the "length" of RVs accomodated in each campsite? i.e. When they print "40 ft", "30 ft", etc., how does that affect us fvers??? What am I looking for with a 3400 (37')??? Do they count the tv length also? Just wondering what they expect from us 5ver people.

In our experience they DO NOT include the TV length..40 feet means length of RV.Howver you should indicate that you have slide outs and how many...

That didn't take "long". Thanks, Rich.
* On Edit~ Does that mean that I can't keep my pickup under my Montana while on the site?

yes You would be somewhere around 53 to 55 feet and yes you can keep it hooked up IF you can fit without blocking any roadway. Not very likely tho.. in most campgrounds although more and more CG's have 55 to 60 foot pull throughs..Campground guides usually will give those stats.

Keep in mind the directories may indicate a site length but sometimes the park has 'big rig sites' that are longer and wider. There may be both a length specified and a comment about big rig sites in the same directory entry. Ours is 36' 4" and 99.9% of all private parks can handle us as can most state and federal parks. Some states have few that work for us but most states work fine.
When the Montana will fit only when unhitched you can either park alongside the rig, along the road in front or behind the rig, or they provide other parking. At least that's what we've found.

Steve is correct and sometimes when they provide you another spot, they assign it to someone else. LOL.
