Cambridge tow wt----wow!!

Just looked at a new Cambridge yesterday....16,990 max wt. Better get the Ford, Chrysler and GM working on a bigger truck! That puts the CGVWs up around 25-26K. No idea what the actual pin wt is, but, based on "standard" balance configuration of the Montys, it has to be enough to overgross the max axle and max tire capability on almost any 2500 or 3500.

Sure was pretty, though!!

We saw one overnighting at a Flying J. It was being pulled by a delivery guy (couple actually). They were using a Dodge 2500, and it sure looked close to the ground at the front legs! They said it was really nice inside, but very heavy.

Something like a Freightliner should make a good TV for the Cambridge.

The 2 we saw last January leaving Lazy Days in central Florida were both being towed by 2500HD with the Duramax. In both cases the trucks hung quite low in the rear. The one owner that I managed to speak indicated they were headed for central Texas. Not sure where the second one was destined.

PJ, the '05 Ford F350 with Tow Boss package has GCWR of 26,000 and tow rating to 19,200. That weight would be outside the ratings for my F250 as we would have it loaded but would likely be within the ratings as it comes off the dealers lot (empty everything).

When we looked at a Cambridge I though the sticker said GVWR of around 19,000 or close to that. I might be wrong. Or maybe it was a different model. In any case, they're not lightweights! I certainly will never move to anything I can't tow with a 1-ton or less single rear wheel. Like you and Sharon, this is our only vehicle and it has to go anywhere we want to go! Just my opinion, though.
