Hanging pictures on walls of RV

What parrots do you have? We have a Maximillion Pionus named Sammy. He also travels with us quite often. The only times he doesn't is if we think we may dry camp in really hot weather, or during our long fall trip.

I first met him when he was a pin cushion He is amost 11 now. Quite the clown...

We used the 3M product in our old 5th wheel, and when we traded it in, they all came off the wall with no damage. They were hooks to hold leashes and stuff for the dogs. Will not hesitate to use them in the new one. Have already installed one to hang dish towels on, and the fly
swatter/large strainer on in the kitchen. I had such good luck with the old ones that I wouldn't use anything else.

3M Command Adhesive Hooks are EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT. They have a great variety of uses. They go on the wall paper, wood, mirrors, glass, siding, everything. They come in all sizes of hooks, picture hangers, toothbrush holders, and lots of other things. We used them everywhere in our last trailer and when we bought our Montana, off they all came and onto the new walls! The large hooks are useful as towel hangers. They also have Command Adhesive Velco strips. It is a bit expensive, but if you ever need to move something and don't want the walls marred they are the best. If you can't quite decide where to put something, Command Adhesive strips make it really easy to change your mind.

Ken and Lisa thanks for the tip on the command adhesive strips. My wife is very bad about changing her mind. I only wish they had made this stuff years ago. I would not of had to repaint our regular drywall house so many times to cover all the holes.

I hung ours with a picture hook and velcro. I used the picture hook to hang it (since it is fairly heavy) and velcro behind it to keep if from swinging back and forth. It's been up for almost 3 years now and only comes down when I take it down to reset it for DST.

I believe that velcro is probably the safest and best way to go. We have all our kids and grandkids pictures up with velcro. We originally used to set them on the the ledge of the living room slideout until we broke the glass in all of them! We replaced the broken glass with plexiglass and tried the velcro. Works great and can be removed with a hair dryer (if necessary) without causing any damage. We had tried double-sided tape but it did cause a little damage to a cupboard door.

We hung our clock over the door using a small screw and velcro. The velcro holds the clock against the wall. The screw is for locating the clock (centering) using the normal mounting location on the back of the clock and also takes a little weight off the velcro. In almost 30,000 miles this clock has not moved. It is easy to take down and put back when crossing timezones.
