House Is On the Market

One step closer. The house is officially listed for sale. We are moving forward with the plan. Retirement is in sight. After moving the last 2 grand kids to Dallas (yep, my daughter and husband went with them) nothing left here to keep us rooted. Time to go on the road, and after 3 yrs of planning, yard sales, car and motorcycle sells. The last yard (estate type) sale is on the horizon. Just keeping our fingers crossed that the house moves fairly quickly.

Our house sold in 30 days and closed 30 days after that. Hope you have the same luck we had. We are loving the full time life style and hope you will also. Good luck.

Good Luck and I am sure well deserved! I will be "officially" retiring on 12/31 and will then hit the road with my DW to explore our Great Country!

See you on the road out there!

Not sure what the housing market is like there, but in our area (2012) it had started coming back some. Even so, we were shocked that ours sold in 3 days! Sounds like you are prepared though for whenever it sells.

Congratulations and good luck with this next chapter!

Good luck with everything going nice and smooth for you. When you finally head out just remember one important thing.....You are retired now!! Slow down and relax! You don't have to do or see everything in the first week!

Thanks for encouragement. It seems that we have gone 90mph for 40 years, I think the slow down and enjoy it, might be the hardest part to adapt to. But we will give it heck. Thanks again.

Yeah, it's not a good idea to go 90 miles an hour with a trailer.

I went 90 MPH for 30 years working 7 days a week for months on end. Slowing down was the hard part. It takes a while to find something else to do with all that time. Good luck!

House sold, closed yesterday. We moved into 5ver last Sunday. Finishing off business obligations and retirement is around the corner. It has been a whirlwind month, but we got it behind us. Wahoo.

Happy to hear you sold and closed. Enjoy retirement.

We sold our house, bought a 9ac ranch and don't get to travel as much as I want to. We come and go. There is so much we have to get done between now and when we stop traveling (in 20 years). So far, built shop and barn, trees in, orchard in, fences mostly in, dog yard secure. Still need to pour some more cement and finish up a few projects...

That is just the opposite with us, we have always had acreage. With that sold, we feel really free for the first time in decades. Loving that feeling. Enjoy the ranch and get it situated so you can travel :-)
