Microwave Door Does not stay closed
We have a 2014 Montana 3582RL and going down the road the microwave door came open and the glass turntable fell out. Our dealer checked this out and said they could not find any problem. Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem?

I think you may have a different brand than we do, but we had that same problem and they tried to adjust the door latch and then, when that didn't solve it, replaced the microwave under warranty.

Have not had this problem, but agree with Dick.....don't accept the old "we did not find a problem" bull. Insist on new replacement.

We have not had that problem either, and we have recently been on some horrible roads. I would insist on a replacement. Talk to Keystone direct.

We have a 2011 3400 and have this same problem. Solved it by taking the heavy glass plate out when we travel. It only takes a minute. We just put it on the bed while going down the road and then back in when we get where we are going.

We do the same thing. We remove the plate while traveling and then reinstall when we get to the RV Park. I really don't like the thought of somebody trying to replace because they will probably damage something else. We will continue to watch.

We have the same MW oven as you and it has no positive latch and has comes open when traveling. I put a velcro strip up under the edge that is split on the piece that attaches to the oven and I use solid strip taped back to back. I put that strip on when traveling and take it off when in camp.

Both Jim and Martha and Jim and Margie-- You have a NEW unit and it is under warranty. ANY problems that come up should be covered under warranty. Contact Keystone to start the ball rolling and get a number. Be courteous and explain the problem and they should work with you. Then have your dealer or a dealer in the area contact Keystone for the replacement of the micro. Changing out the micro is not hard at all. Don't know which model you both have for microwaves but there has been a recall on some of them so check that out and maybe besides the door problem you can get the micro replaced because of the recall too!

I also place the cardboard roll from paper towels or from the roll of bags for my vacuum food saver machine cut down to wedge it to fit on top of the glass turntable to the inside top of the microwave. I never have to remove the turntable and it stays there until I use the micro.

I assume your microwave is working. Ours would not latch so the oven would not work. Replaced under extended warranty. The dealer billed the warranty company $1,000 and they paid it!
