2nd tank flush?

Here comes one of those stupid questions from a newbie (no laughing). 2001 3280rl has a second inlet right next to the black water tank flush. When I purchased the 5er it did not come with manuals. Here it comes...... What is the second inlet for?

I'm just guessing it is for city water hook up! Jim

Not city water, that hookup is inside a cubby below below the inlet.

my guess is the inlet is to use to winterize your unit...

On the newer units we have three inlets. One for winterizing, one for flushing and one for fresh water. If you have the winterizing one you will also have a little lever near it to activate it. When you winterize you connect a small hose to that inlet and stick the hose down into a bottle of RV antifreeze. You change the lever to winterize and then use your on board water pump to pump antifreeze into the rig. By the way, there are no stupid questions (see some of my early posts) only people too stupid to get the information they need. Ask as many as you have. We'll help as much as we can. We were all new once and someone on here helped us.

Could it be the fresh water tank? Hopefully someone with an older unit or who has had one can chime in here with the specifics. I didn't even think the older units had the black water tank flush, so I learned something here anyway. And, there are no stupid questions!

Where is the secondary flush located? Here is a question, does the factory flush work? The secondary may have nbeen installed because the water ports in the flusher were clogged. When I took mune aprt, all the ports were clogged, so no water flow. Is it next to the factory flush on the tank?

We had a 2001 3280rl and I installed a second flush on the galley tank. I did this as food particles would go down the drain and accumulate in the tank.
Yours is not the same unit though as that one is on the Eastern Shore of Va. and the owners still call with questions.

Jim,

Although they don't go back farther than 2009, you can down load the owners manual at the following URL:

http://www.keystonerv.com/customer-s.../owners-manual

It may come in handy down the road.

Still waiting for the weather to warm up so I can flush the anti freeze for the first time. I will check the flush connections to see if they both work when it stops snowing. Looking at low 60s this weekend, can't wait to get started.
