This might be off topic about the OP but it seems that the topic has changed to who owns who and what is what.
my view on our USA oil supplies are, if we have so much oil in our country why do we pump it up and take it to other countries to refine? I heard so the US oil companies can sell it at a higer price to us, if they refined the crude here they could not raise the price as high as it is being sold at. so it sounds like the government is allowing this to happen.
I remember when they told us , USA citizens the Alaska pipe line would stop all the high prices built with US dollars and who is running it now BP..................END

I have heard that Flying J is charging $10.00 to use their dump station.

I hope this is not true. We will not be using Flying J if they are charging to dump waste.

Hopefully this is not a new trend on the way....I could see a lot of illegal dumping happening.

Once again, sorry if I helped get this off topic. And to answer PartyCrashers, I heard they are indeed charging to dump at FJ too.

yep..another freebee gone. Next thing will be Walmart charging Rv'ers to overnight park. You can earn dump station points by purchasing fuel . Going along with not purchasing foreign oil ( remember now Canada is a Foreign country and the #1 exporter of oil to the USA) I find that we import 62/66 % of our oil. That means that 34 to 38% of it is drilled right here in the good old USA. So where is it..where can I buy it..what station or company sells it?? Strangly enough the only company that I can find for sure that is 100% USA oil is.....Flying J. The irony of it all. You can purchase 100% USA oil there..but they charge you to dump 100% USA crap.

Just to compound the confusion. If you don't want to buy Venuzulain oil don't buy any oil products. The oil enters a pipeline, goes to a refinery, then to a tank farm, and then to your local station. You don't know where that oil came from, it gets all mixed up in those pipelines. At the gas, diesel tank farm they (the individual brands) add their special additives and transport it to their stations. You can't differentiate where the oil came from.

As to refineries, we hold stock in ExxonMobile and it seems every annual report tells how they sold or shut down another refinery as it didn't fit into their plan of operation. Also most of the oil developed in the Middle East is done by US companies. The oil companies have us over a barrel and they know it and don't give a damn and we keep burning the fuels and complaining when we pay our fuel bill.

Oh, well, off my soapbox and into the Monty for another trip for two weeks. Gotta fill up first.
