Truck Tires F350

These Coninentals spin in fog up here in the mountains. I have a hard time picturing road tires in a muddy graasy campground. Even with 4WD

I don't worry too much about the campgrounds. Around here if you got your tires in the muddy grass you're getting a ticket anyway. They try to keep the the tires in the gravel, concrete, pavement.

The off road traction is nice to have for getting to the favorite fishing hole or driving to work in the snow, but if I need that kind of traction to tow, I probably shouldn't be there.

I luck out because the tire guy and I are good friends and he will rotated them for free when I buy new ones from him, so while I run the originals down, I oblige him and pay to have them rotated. He pulls them off and remounts and balances them every time. I generally help roll the tires around and put them back on the truck, so he doesn't charge me that much. I am very satisfied withe the mileage I am getting out of these and think it is in part due to the fact I very rarely drive on anything but pavement. Gravel roads are tough on tires and will cut there life span in half pretty quick.

I don't think they are loud at all, but I have become accustomed to listening to the diesel purr, and don't thin it is loud either.

I replaced my Michelin LTX A/S factory with the LTX M/S (got better traction, and still lasted over 70,000 miles. I'll never put anything other than the LTX LR-E tire on my truck. Great treadwear, great stability, and quiet on the highway (even the mud/snow tread). They are a bit pricy, but I think the safety aspects far outweigh the savings from a lesser tire

several people on this forum and rv net have claimed 70,000 plus on bfg rugged trail incl Steve Reigel. I changed mine at 53,000 with a lot of tread left just to be safe because I scraped a sidewall really bad.

I am surprised,maybe I missed any replies about the Goodrich TA's on my second set on my 350 285/65/18 E rated. Quiet running, long wearing. I don't of a better all around tire out there. The new Michelin AT/2 are getting good reports, that would be my only other choice, but have never run them, and could not get myself away from the Goodrich tire.
