The Monty House

The old barn is down and the new "Monty House" pole barn has finally begun in it's place!
It will have the same shingles & paint color as the brick house.
We hired a contrator to do the job for us, so this is going to be so fun to just watch it being done!
The slab it's built on will be 20' x 40' and 16' high on the inside.
Dano had to cut down a few trees to make room for it!
Will post pictures as soon as it's done.

Lisa, No you need to post the pictures of the building as it goes up! This keeps us all waiting for the next and "envious", wish I had my pole building with a 16' ceiling. Ours is only 12' so can't use it yet. We are considering a remodel on the center isle (3 bays wide) to make it work.

Chuck, I'll see what I can do! I have pictures of the old barn. Tonight if it's not too dark, I'll get pictures of the ground ready for the new part of the slab. We are too excited. We've been jealous of everyone else's for a little over a year!

Congrats on the new barn! Being able to keep a coach inside out of the elements is one of the greatest ways to keep it looking new for years to come. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of progress.

Progress Report

The ground was cleared.
More concrete has been poured.
(you know about that one Rich)
That makes the slab 20' x 40' !
All 12 posts are set in the ground.
Waiting on trusses to be delivered today.
It looks huge !!! But then I look over at the Monty
and think is it big enough ?
It's pouring rain all day, so we'll see what REALLY gets done.
Have been taking pictures but don't have a way to get them into my computer
Need to get someone who can scan them for me so we can post them.
After reading the post about "Shift Happens"
I guess Dano and I are still in the stoneage!!
