Toilet bowl

The toilet bowl in our mounty seems to keep letting the water out of the bowl..........after flushing and filling the bowl with fresh water.....come back to find it dry........it all seeps past the seal......any Ideas for a fix or if someone else had or has this problem......feel free to chime in here.

Thanx,
Roger

We had the same problem and we sent an e-mail to sealand@dometicusa.com and they sent us a new seal and spring. The seal is a new upgrade. Hope this helps

It is not too bad of a job, you have to remove the bowl, that is the easiest, replacing the spring you have to remove the cover on the pedal. The spring set just pulls out, no screws to remove.

I suggest in wearing rubber gloves and be sure to shut the water off

First, try a couple of things.
1) At the back of the bowl, there is a screw on a large clamp that when tightened applies more pressure to the seal area. Tighten screw and check accordingly.
2) Make sure the seal is cleaned completely, apply a thin coat of vaseline (I used q-tips) to the seal itself.
When I did both of these, our leaking problems have ceased. Also get in the habit of letting the ball slam shut. Let off the pedal all at once, not gradually. Hope this helps, if not the seal kit may be in order.

We had that problem too. Ask for the kit, they'll send everything you need and it is very easy to put on.

We have that happen every now and then - just today, as a matter of fact. Clean around the hole and it should take care of business. Also, you could "snap" the foot pedal a couple of times with your foot. Sometimes that loosens up what ever is stuck around seal. If these don't work, than you might need some of the other fixes suggested above. Good luck and let us know how you do.
