Sat and Cable hook up

Just picked up a 2012 Montana Mountaineer 295rkd. The cable/sat hook up is single lead in on the outside. Compared to my switch box on my Alpha 30RL (2). I am connected to the antenna and works fine, below the antenna hook up is a plate with a loop connector attached. I have not gone camping with this unit yet. Is this the input to the cable/Sat box? Can any one help? My next (first) campout with this rig is a KOA, with cable so I can play with it there. The books say nothing. If anyone Knows of manuals on line that has wiring and details, it would sure help

yes that is your sat connection and it goes to the bedroom tv, then loops back to the garage area TV. that way you can get satellite tv in the garage area.

Someone uploaded this schematic and I saved it, Hope it helps

Yeah, about that loop around - I found that it made the cable run too far for the signal from my new version Tailgater to work. The cable input in the 'convenience center' works fine with the booster amp turned off as does the bat wing with the amp turned on, but I couldn't get the Tailgater to work using the house system. Since we've a rear entertainment version, I drilled a hole out the rear and hooked a short lead to a covered outdoor connector. Only have sat. at the rear TV, but it works very well.

That schematic helped

The layout of the TV cable was a great help. Maybe now I can figure the entire system. I will go on a hunt for the electrical and hydraulic systems. Thank you all for responding

And don't even think that keystone will release any schematics for 12/120vac wiring in any montana or hydraulics either. This is an area of "you figure it out if it breaks " sort of thing with help from the moc members of course.

I guess I will have to do my best, and some of it has labels. That was what I was starting to think. I did think there was a service manual out there someplace

jcurtis934 is correct on the schematics for any electrical or hydraulic on the units. I think it depends on who did the tasks on the specific day they built your unit. I've seen wires run all over and circuits set up with multiple connections that one would not even think they would go together. Hydraulics I know nothing about except for they run the lines in the belly to the specific areas and that's it. All of us have "had to figure things out" when it comes to these two areas in our Monte's. Good luck!

I am not expecting any trouble but there is always the "what if" factor. My first and last 5er were mechanical screw/ gear type, so hydraulic is new to me. If I figure any of this out I will post it. Same if I run into a problem. Thank you all

I found this on line. Lippert Hydraulic RV slide manual in PDF format. https://www.lci1.com/assets/content/...de-out-web.pdf

My engineering background is my OCD. I need to know things. Hope this helps someone out there

We had the same connectivity problem with our Tailgater/Wally combination. I called King, the manufacturer of Tailgater. The tech said the Wally does not send enough power back up the line to the Tailgater to go through the coach and out to the dish. We now run the end of a 35' cable in through a side window directly to the Wally. It is a bit of a pain but it works.
