Passenger side landing gear won't raise or lower

Picked up camper today and raised legs after hitching up. When unhooking noticed passenger side landing gear not lowering. Had this happen once before and had to take it in. Would like to repair myself.

I think it's a shear pin? But don't know where it is or how to access it.

If it is a single motor, the shear pin is in the cross bar that drives the landing gear. If it is a dual motor, look where the drive shaft couples to the gear shaft.

I had a similar issue a couple of years ago at The central Plains Rally. Ended up being the spirol pin that holds the bevel gear on to the drive shaft had fallen out. If you look into the top of the offending leg and see the bevel gear not turning but the drive shaft is you have lost the spirol pin. (spirol pin 1020-08 is how venture identified it on their drawing. I always called them roll pins) Pretty simple fix once you get the correct pin.

There are two gears at the top of the leg and neither of them is moving on the passenger side. Driver side operating normally.

Is the drive shaft rotating? If it is the roll pin is probably missing. Go to the Venture site and you should find an exploded drawing. http://www.venturemfgco.com/rv-jacks...d-accessories/
If you can't find it let me know and I'll try and find my copy. Just not where I can put my hands on it right now.

I have spent some time communicating with Venture Manufacturing Company and as a result they sent me 12 PDFs with everything you ever wanted to know about their landing legs. The topics range from "Owners Manual" to "Landing Gear Rebuild Instructions" including parts lists and how to convert to dual motors (for the really heavy front-end Montanas). Everything you ever want to know about your landing gear is available in these documents.

If you would like a copy of the PDFs send me (via email or PM) your email address. I will send them to you.

On Edit: I remembered there were so many requests for these documents, I made them available via DropBox. Here is the link to the list of PDFs and you can download any of them.

Thanks for all the help. No the drive shaft is not moving. If I'm looking at the drawing correctly it is the drive pin that needs to be replaced?

I am at home now. MiL had to got to hospital this am so hope to get back this pm.

Thank you all. The link to the drawings really helped me. 5 minute trip to the hardware store and back in action. Great forum.
