It would take me at least 20 min and probably hit the doorway. I guarantee my 2007 chevy 4x4 extended cab can't turn as sharp as that tractor rig.I wish I had his ability. That is why I always specify pull-thru camping spots. I have to back in to my covered spot where I store my trailer and usually fight it every time.

While I agree that the driver has some serious skills, a big part of it is that truck. I tried out an International (that's what the FedEx one looks like) and they can cut some serious corners. Almost had me ready to trade in our Ford, but we almost own it and I didn't want to go back in hock again!

I am getting pretty good at backing my trailer (finally, after 10 years), but not at the speed and confidence of that FEDEX driver. Full-timing helps and especially since we move a minimum of twice a week (once to my house and a second move to a 1000trails RV site - back and forth each month). If TT is full so that I cannot spend our max of 3 weeks, then we move more often. I now don't care if I have to back in, since I'm getting comfortable, but I do remember being intimidated.

Watching a talented, comfortable and experienced driver back in their trailer is truly a sight to appreciate. And then there's the downtrodden head-shaking poor souls one sees at the campground with those that ain't so good. It does take some effort to turn away to not force oneself to walk over and do it for them. They gotta learn. It's a good skill to have if you own a trailer.

Been there and done this as a 20 year trucker. Many don't realize it but when backing to an inside dock once you hit the mark and get the rig straight most of the time you can't see the dock in your mirrors because of poor lighting in the building. You have to make sure you are in the proper alignment with the dock plate and EASE on back until you "bump the dock".

This FedEx local driver probably bumps this same dock every day and possibly multiple times every day.

That was a very good job. If it was dark inside, it was even harder than it looked. The hardest for me was putting a flat bed into a slot where the fork lift drove onto the bed from both sides... now THAT was very hard for me.

Helen did nearly as well backing Into a building to get our front over hang tuff coated. She had 6 inches on either side and a low hanging A/C unit to get around.As recall she did have to pull ahead once to miss the A/C.

If you watch his turn wheels, you will see fluid motion as he straightens out in the end. I found that to be very important in backing up. I watch people go lock, to lock with no in between. So in the immortal words of "Bruce Lee"..."be like water"! Lol
