Lost 120v in living room

This morning we lost all the 120v in the living room and the GFCI was tripped at the bedroom vanity and would not reset. I have a Progreesive Industries EMS-PT50C connected to the campground pedestal but it did not have any faults. All fuses and breakers were good and I reset the living room breakers. After about an hour, the power came back on. I am going to replace the bedroom GFCI but am at a loss as to the problem with the living room power. We have had lots of rain and it is raining now. Your opinions would be appreciated.

Is it possible the campground lost a phase for an hour? I don't think the EMS will give you a code if the phase goes off only if it goes low or high. Jim

No, mine will show you no voltage on one leg if it's dead.

You are correct Dick. If the OP was looking at the unit at the time of failure he would see an open leg. I guess I took the OP's comment to mean it did not show any fault codes. Be interesting to see what he finds.

I suggest you look under the living room slide towards the rear of the slide for a mental box with cover. You might have a loose wire there.
Kill all power to the trailer until you know that box is safe.

The power has been on all day without any additional problems. I was gone most of yesterday but my neibor told me that the campground lost power yesterday for about five hours. But everything worked fine after getting home yesterday and for a while this morning until the living room lost power. I replaced the GFCI in the bedroom at the vanity. Now everything is okay. I will look for the electrical box that John Kohl spoke about, tomorrow. We have had heavy rain all day. Thanks for your recommendations.

your GFCI most likely was not bad. The heavy rain got something damp in the circuit the GFCI was protecting (read outside outlet for example) and it was doing it's job. When the dampness went away, it reset.

Follow-up to problem: Last month I purchased and installed a Camco #55572 18" 90 degree 50 amp adapter for my 50 amp service plug, through Amazon.com. I checked all 120v electrical in the back of the trailer and did not find any problems. I pulled my new plug out and noticed moisture on the ground connection. I dried everything out and installed dielectric greese on all the stabs and ground connection. The problem appears to be solved, time will tell.
