Interior Stair Repair

Hi All,

When we received our unit back in May, it felt like the middle stair headed to the bedroom was flimsy. I mentioned this to the dealer and they commented that it felt the same as others. I walked into a few and it did feel the squishy same.

Well today I was coming down the stairs and heard a crack and the middle stair started to move. Once I got to the bottom and grabbed the middle stair, I realized that I could pull it away from the top.

Anyone else had this problem or have done anything to beef up the stairs?

Thanks!

If you pull out the wall inside the basement, you will see how the steps are supported. Mine has 2x3's in the corners that is suppose to help support the steps. Well, when I looked at these 2x3's the staples were not hitting the plywood, so they were kicked out, allowing the steps to sag and feel flimsy.

Take the screws out of the big black panel and see what your looks like.
