Darrell-- When was the last time you did a tank dump? It sounds to me that the tank is full and the air bubble(belch) is a sign that tank is full and needs to be dumped! If that isn't it, I have no idea but I'm sure there will be others stopping by to give their ideas!

I would check to be sure the vent stack going through the roof is not blocked with ice or something else. This system works just like the vented system in your stick house.

Does your rig have the black water flush? When was the last time you dumped the black tank? How much water do you use during a flush? What is the model and year of your rig?

If the first two suggestions above do not fix your problem, providing this information will help for others' ideas.

In my '06 3400 the only time I get a "burp" is when the tank is nearing full. Then the DW yells "dump the tank" there's a monster in it.............

I'd bet Waltandlynne are on the right track. Since it happens when you are putting pressure into the tank via the black tank flush then it has to mean that pressure is not escaping out the vent. You may have a bird nest in there or some other blockage. I think the vent cap just pulls off. It might have one screw. Maybe you could stick a water hose down it just a little ways and turn it on and see if it backs up rapidly and thus is blocked. Good luck.
