Factory repairs

When people take their Montana back to the factory for repairs what was the reason. Was it for warranty work or just work that couldn't be done by the dealer. I have a rotted floor in my bedroom slide and I know the dealers that I have used will not want to tackle this job.

It can be hard to get them to let you bring it back to the factory, but in my case it was a slide opening that was cut too small and the rig was still under warranty.

The service center is for warranty work or work approved by Keystone. There are many good repair shops in that area and they know how to work on Rv's.You can call the service center ask them for a referral.

We Use D &T repair in Goshen for major out of warranty repairs on the Montana.

I looked on youtube and there is a way to replace the floor without taking the slide out out. I am sure I can do this.

Hi

A bout 10 years ago when I was staying in an RV park in Ft Lauderdale Florida I saw a couple of guys replace the floor in a bedroom slide (I don’t remember what brand trailer) in about half a day. They did it with the slide extended and were able to remove the old floor and slide a one piece replacement in.

I had an older Hi-Lo at the time and I sure did enjoy that trailer it just didn’t have the room the Montana has.

Well it's done. Just have to put the bed back together and some flooring to replace the carpet on the new floor.

Glen-- Did you pull the slide out to do it or just tilt the top out to get under the slide itself?

I did similar to the videos on YouTube and . Except my weather strips under the slide don't come out unless the slide is out so I raised the slide up about 1" to have room to slide the new floor and ABS plastic sheet under the slide. I also used 2x4 supports instead of 2x6.

I didn't get any pictures as we were racing the rain clouds.
