2013 montana 3000rk (Slide outs)

Hello all
I have a 2013 3000rk my went out to put my slide out in before it rains I hit the switch and the bedroom came about half way and them stopped I hit the switch again and it came in the rest of the way. then the main slide started coming in and them stopped again I wanted a few seconds and hit the swatch again and it would come in a 5 or 8 inches more then stop again. It did this about 5 time till I got it all the way in. Can any one tell me why it did this or have they had the same problem.
Thank you much
Rancherok

This is a common problem particularly in colder weather. There is a automatically resetting breaker in your front compartment by your pump that is tripping and then resetting. In our case, since it was still under warranty, Keystone authorized an upgrade to an 80amp breaker under warranty. I believe the original was a 50amp.

1. Change out the current breaker for an 80 amp
2. Ensure your battery (batteries) are fully charged
3. If this happens again before you get 1 & 2 done, connect to shore power and then bring the slide(s) in.
I had the same problem. Solution was the same. Welcome to the MOC!

That undersized breaker is usually the problem. Jay's advice above is right on.

Don't be concerned if shore power doesn't help. Mine did it whether it was on shore power or not. For me it just depended on the temperature.

Do a real simple test first....just reach in and make sure your battery cables are tightened down good....That's all my problem was..

This may sound like a stupid question but what does the breaker look like? I may be having the same problem.

It will look something like this.
Available at RV stores and many auto parts stores.

We had our 3750 into Lippert for a small leak just before the rally. The fixed the leak, and while they had it in the shop they changed the breaker from 30 Amp auto reset to 80 Amp manual reset
