Tore out the "stairs" today....

The quotation marks are there because these did not resemble "stairs" at all..
I always thought it was pretty basic carpentry to build a good stair but holy cow..

They’re covered with carpet, craftsmanship isn’t even required LOL. Yes it seems to be lost in the construction of our nice trailers. But new steps on the way! Should be finished building today, stain/finish tomorrow.

Maybe they should sell there units as "Fifthwheel Kits" since many of us have to finish the build and fix the screw-ups from manufacturing.
Oh, this is not a Hit against Montana, same goes for our SOB and just about every other unit out there.

Are you going to hinge the treads for extra storage?

By the time you get the support members in there there’s not as much room as it may seem there would be. And I’m leaving one return grille in there too so air flow is needed.

Montana went from one grill to two because there was not enough air flow back to the furnace.

Mudchief,
That is helpful info. But after looking at the available free air flowing space they have under the steps, one grill will flow more air than it can pull through there.
