onboard compressor placement?

i'm sure this has been addressed in the past, however i haven't seen a post about it. i'm getting the firestone ride-rite airbags w/ onboard compressor installed in two weeks and was wondering where the optimal place is to mount the compressor? i would appreciate any feedback.

thanks,
tim

Only on board air-compresser that I used was on a 1962 truck & it was mounted under hood was powered by belt from fan. Hope this helps.

Timbuk,

Mine is mounted just below the Brake Master Cylinder on the driver's side fender wall. The air tank is mounted underneath the truck approximately just below the driver.
