It's not dead yet but given its age and the poor "luck" I've had with everything else on this 2017 3721RL, I'd like to get some ideas for replacing the WFCO WF-5110HP inverter that came with unit. Amazon is selling the newer version, which is still only 1000 watts, for $448.82. I could purchase a 2000-watt Renogy and a Xantrex Auto Transfer Switch for $331.73. Both options allow for hard wiring the AC side.
I'd appreciate any thoughts, insights, or other helpful suggestions.
- The RV is usually stationary and usually connected to shore power.
- The main desire is to keep the fridge powered during power outages.
- I have a small generator but would only use that for long power outages.
- The home office, i.e., monitors, PC, etc., are connected to a UPS.
- I prefer to have multiple backups, thus the multiple power options.
