Morryde StepAbove (4 step) unit with lift assist struts (TX)
This Morryde Step Above (4 step) unit with assist lift struts came with my 2018 Montana. I replaced them with a Lippert step unit with removable handrail. The door on my RV is 29" wide. They are easy to install. These steps with lift struts are $650 new. I can not box the steps and ship them anywhere, so you will need to pick them up from me at a time and place we agree on, preferably at the Georgetown TX Walmart parking lot. $400 Cash only.

I hope so…it’s a good deal for somebody that wants to upgrade the fold-up steps.

Good Deal. Just not close enough.
I put Moryde steps on my 2017 first week I had it. Now wife is a little less able and would like to get the assist version that came out AFTER I bought mine. Wish they had an update kit.
Someone will get yours I'm sure.

Dropping the price to $300.
Need to get it out of my garage or it might go to the recycle yard in Austin, which would be a shame. Contact me if you are interested and I will consider the driving to meet you.

Mike, sorry for the repeat posts but Hey Mike, I noticed that you had a Morryde Step Above steps with strut assist for sale in the forum and was wondering if you still have them. Yesterday I destroyed my steps while auto leveling my unit. I live in Weatherford TX and would be willing to make the drive to Georgetown to buy them from you. Hopefully you still do! If you do then you can contact me by email chevyman1211@aol.com or call or text me at 817-706-1603. Thank you, Don Taylor.

Unfortunately - I gave up on trying to sell or give it away. I sent the hinge and strut section to a metal recycler, and the step unit is leaning up against my barn waiting for warm weather. My wife plans to use it as a plant stand.

Just curious why you made the switch to Lippert? I added the MorRyde handle to mine.

The Lippert has a big wide step for that first step out of the coach. We love it! It has a semi-easy removable handle/grab bar that attaches to the stringer…removable with ball bearing pins…not in love with them. The lift assist is not as easy as Morryde unit (use your little pinky in seamless motion for the Morryde!). The Lippert goes up about 25% of the way and pauses - then you continue to close it inside the door. It has a handle lock to lock it inside the door frame. The Morryde pistons held it firmly in place without a handle lock…but the big first step was better for DW and I.
Back in 2018 we bought the accessory Morryde handrail that bolted to the step stringer - but the rail would hit the coffee bar base cabinet just inside the door when the steps were put up for travel - so we returned it. I like the way the new generation of Morryde steps has the simple touch “latch” to adjust the feet. The Lippert still uses a ball bearing pins which sometimes requires some stiff cuss words to get it thru the lined up holes.
The big wide first step makes it worth the time I have to monkey with the pins to get set up. Happy life…!!
