One more reminder

This is for the first timers AND a refresher for the rest of us. When you are driving through Goshen, OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT or the police will reward you with a friendly reminder that has a price tag attached to it. Big trucks with out of state plates are a favorite target. So if you don't want to go home with a lovely parting gift from the local constabulary, watch your speed in town.

And don't forget to bring an extra length of sewer hose. Anyone who forgets will be MOCed (Get it???)

The local government apparently want their piece of the pie also.

That pretty much goes for every little town on the way. As long as we are putting stuff out there for the 1st timers: All of the hookups at Goshen are at the rear of the rig so you will need longer water and sewer hoses than you probably usually use.

Another thing that's hard for those of us from other states to understand is that, in Indiana, commercial rigs don't pay tax on diesel like the rest of us do and so you'll see some stations advertising a really good deal and then when you pull up to the normal pumps the price is much higher. Since they have so many haulers up there you'll see plenty of pickups at the commercial pumps it's just not supposed to be us.

Jim, IF they forget their extra length of sewer hose they will just have to hit Menards, Tiara or several other businesses that handle RV supplies in the Goshen/Elkhart area. The fairgrounds does not allow openend end sewer hoses setting next to your rigs!

Also if you have a newer unit that has the service center "midship" on your unit don't forget to bring enough water hose to connect to the faucet that is at the back part of site site along with the electrical and sewer hose connections. You may also have to SHARE the water hookup with a neighbor or a unit that is behind you so bring a splitter also!

UH, check those u-bolts before hitting the road folks. Found a loose one on mine this am.

This is especially important for anyone with a NEW rig - its a rare dealer who voluntarily crawls under a new rig during dealer prep to check them...
